Ok, so I added an HTML article called BigRome's Fat Princess Review. I hit save after fixing it and it came back to the same page and I checked all options under details section that weren't already checked, added a global tag and hit save again. I got this:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's Fat Princess Review','tparticle_itemtags','globaltag_item','',0,'Review'' at line 2

Before I give all extra info you need, this is a fresh install. Installed it Monday, so I don't know what it could be talking about with 1.1.9,, but I guess that's more SMF support. And it's been running great til today. at first I thought TP shout was giving me problems, but I have tried again to get this and after adding in the apostropy it happened. But after a second trial it only happened if I added a global tag. Maybe this is a bug rather than support.

Just to be clear, you only get this error when creating/editing an article when adding a tag? Sounds like a bug, I'll try it out tomorrow when I get a chance.
Sorry, to clarify. It only seems to happen when I put an apostrophe( ' ) in the title (haven't tried things like quotes) and add tags. If I just add tags (no apostrophe in the title) then it seems to work fine. If I create an article with an apostrophe in the title but don't add a tag it seems to be fine. If I create an article with both I get the above.
Edit: I beat you to the reply.
Ok, so adding a tag or adding an apostrophe in the title. Just want to make sure I'm testing the same things you are. :)
An apostrophe in the title AND adding a global tag. Either or seems to be fine, but both together give me that.
I just tried it and played around with it.
If you put the apostrophe and global tag on the edit after saving the first time you get the error.
If you tag a global tag and then save and then go back and out the apostrophe it works.
So there is a bug here.
lets see if you get the same Ichbin.
I did not get an error when I put an apostrophe in the title and added a new tag at the same time. All this from editing an old article. I will try a new one in just a second.
Didn't get the error after creating a new article either. No bug for me! :)
Hmmm, seems like it happens to me as well, but only when I try to add a new tag from the article screen. It seems to be somewhat intermittent but the error does happen. The first couple of times I did it when using an existing tag it didn't give me the error. I think more experimentation is needed on this.
