Title: Showing Forum
Post by: SMFnoob on September 08, 2009, 10:12:48 AM
Ok this is probably a Noob question.

I installed SMF 1.1.10. and then in stalled the beta 4 of TinyPortal.

How do you get it to show the FORUM in a BLOCK.  If I manually click FORUM or navigate to
www.mysite.com/FORUM/index.php?action=forum

then it works, but how would I incorporate that into the front page/block/etc...

Hi SMFnoob, welcome to TinyPortal.

Not actually sure what you are asking for, but the way TP works with you SMF in the default setup is to add a front or 'Home' page... so you would then have yoursite.com/index.php as the Home page and then '?action=forum' added to that when you go to the forum.
Your SMF/TP can be set to skip the Home page and go directly to the forum.

As for blocks showing on the Home page, you do that by looking in your TP admin panel Front page settings and decide what setup best fits your needs.

If you will give the info called for in the posting guidelines we may be able to give a better answer.

You have to manually code in a forum tab/button on your theme's index.template

Edit: Sorry after rereading your post it looks as if you dont want a frontpage rather you want it to go directly to the forum, in the admin block settings for frontpage there is an option to "Go Directly to Forum" or something similar to that
