Title: My site shows "-no name-" in Search Engines
Post by: BorderlandsHQ on September 07, 2009, 05:48:05 PM
When you search for my site "borderlandshq.com" on Google, the first result is this:

http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&q=borderlandshq.com&meta=&fp=453f837c80fa8500

BorderlandsHQ.com | Community Forums, Guides and More - -no name-

Why does it have the "-no name-" on the right? How can I change that to something else for better SEO purposes?

The noname is probably because of your articles setup, you have them in a noname category or a noname article.

No, I made sure to give all my articles and categories a proper name, including a query title.

One thing I've noticed though is that it only shows "-no name-" for guests.

Well you have one category that you have not named. You can see that by looking at the linktree when you go to this page.

Whatever category that article is in needs to be named.

I do have that category named. It's named "Borderlands" and every single one of my articles are in that category. It shows "Borderlands" instead of "-no name-" when I'm logged in, but for guests who aren't logged in, it shows "-no name-"

It may be because you are not allowing guests access to that category.

Well how do I allow them access to it? And if they don't have access to it anyways, how come they can still view it?

As a guest I cannot access the category.

BorderlandsHQ,

You seem to still have the "no name" problem.  If you would like me to take a look inside your site and see if I can figure it out, create a test Admin account and PM me the specifics and I'll take a look at it.
