Related Error messages:

No error message as such but i have the shoutbox on the homepage in the middle colum, it works fine and great and does wonders first of i can't find how to change any settings for tiny portal aat all and secondly i was wondering if it is possible to have the shoutbox as a pop up rather then actually in the forums?

No popup for the shoutbox, it's placed in a panel and a container ( block and it's location )

Settings for the shoutbox are located under your TP admin in SMF admin panel

Is there a way to have shoutbox pop up in a newer version of TP then mine?

No, it's built in with panels and blocks

Sorry to break in here G6, but Betty does not even appear to be using the TP shoutbox ...

I can't be sure of this because, as a Guest on here site, I can't see a Shoutbox.  Betty, if this is the Shoutbox you are using, you need to seek support from the author of that SMF Mod, not here on TinyPortal.

Then the answer to your question is as G6 stated.  The Shoutbox cannot be used in a popup, it must be placed into one of the blocks available to you.  For TP 0.98, that would be either in the left panel, or the right, or the center panel.
