I I have SMF 1.1.10 installed and I intaled TP new beta
All went fine but...
now where I get the TP admin panel?
I went to the forum under admin tab & there is no TP anywhere?
I see that it has to be admin/tinyportal/........... but where and how?
sorry but I am new to all of this
Thank you very much for the help
Welcome to TP... Try the following link:
Blank Admin Panel or Text missing? (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=34)
If that doesn't help then you probably did not get a fullinstall of TP. If so then How do I manually install TinyPortal (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=29) and check your installation.
What exactly do I have to see and where?
What is the complete url I have to type if my site name is to get the TP panel;
_www.mysite.co.cc and my forum is _www.mysite.co.cc/forum ?
Thank you
Did you not view the links I gave you in the previous message?
TP is part of the admin panel... Please take the time to view the links in the previous message.
I got it with the manual method but I have some issues:
When I try shoutbox i got: Unable to load the 'main' template.
I got this too when choosing "From TPShoot:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function tpshout_profile() in /home/a8374913/public_html/forum/Sources/Profile.php on line 335
Tinyportal Icons are not showed just a cruz.
I got this message too:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/a8374913/public_html/forum/Sources/TPdlmanager.php on line 1407
any ideas?
Thank you
To use the shoutbox you must create a block of type TPModule, save and then you can select TPShotubox as the module. Make sure the shoutbox module is installed via Modules and tags.
Tinyportal icons not showing.. is this for the default theme? if they show in the default theme then the problem is the custom theme
How are you calling downloads? In default theme if you have downloads enabled thru the admin panel then there is a menu link for downloads.
Also: Please read the Posting Guidelines.html (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581) and provide the requested data.

For TPShout :Unable to load the 'main' template. I create the Block with TPShout on the right but it is not showing
I went to Modules and tags and same errors for both modules
For Icons this is in Default Theme
I try other theme and that give me the same
I post a screen shot
Edit: I fixed the images problems re-uploading images files
Thank you very much
When you created the block for the right did you scroll to the bottom as you made that block and select [Show] so you could tell TP where to show the block? At the bottom you will see [Show] [Hide].. select show.
Did you edit the TPdlmanager.php file? it appears that the file has been altered.
Unable to load main template is an common error when you install TP ( or other mods ) wrongly.
A search for the term "Unable to load the 'main' template" will show you how to fix that issue.
Parse error shows up when you wrongly added the code or proceeded with the install even if you got error messages.
To fix this, you need to make sure to follow the install guide to the letter. Links posted by Renegd are the guides you need to read and follow.
And as a small note, you MUST do this to no other theme but SMF default Core theme... Your custom theme there are not default for SMF
OK I fix the parse error re upload the TPdlmanager & it works!
Now I found out that alll files are not well upload (size =0kb) for most of the TP files.
I try to reupload all TP directories but I cant not even delete the wrong one (No permissions to do that)
I try to change permission but cant:operation not permited!
I am very close but I dont know how to replace the wrong size files
Can you help please?
Thank you very much
We cant help you with permission issues on the server, you have to contact your host and ask them to help you with that. best would be if your host could set you as owner of the files.
I fix the ownership and it works now !!!!!!!
That was driving me crazy!
Thank you very very much!
Glad it worked out :)
Marking this solved now
Glad you got it worked out.
