When I try to add icons to my articles categories I get this:

but when I go to "icons" it shows everything is fine:

how do I solve this?

I can't duplicate this behavior on my test site.
Under Admin --> Forum Maintenance - General Maintenance, choose "Find and repair any errors." and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, please Please Read and Follow the Posting Guidelines (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581), as requested by G6, and give us all the information about your site requested at the bottom of that topic, so that we will have the information we need to help you .

solved it, there was a missing > in the script
I'm glad you got it solved yourself, but out of curiosity, what script are you talking about that was missing a >?
