Title: rt_smf_versatility errors
Post by: dwykofka on August 12, 2009, 01:26:20 PM
I am using a forum theme that I got from Rocket themes made by bloc and I keep getting these errors in the log.

Link to my site: www.paidforumposting.com
SMF version: 1.1.10
TP version: NA
Theme name and version: rt_smf_versatility
Browser Name and Version: Any
Mods installed: Anonymize Links 2.1, Enhanced Quick Reply Box 2.0.2, Google Video BBC Tag
Related Error messages: 8: Undefined index: templatestyle
File: /home/XXUSERXX/public_html/forums/Themes/rt_smf_versatility/Display.template.php (main sub template - eval?)

There are hundreds of them every day. Does anybody have a clue as to what I can change to fix it?

Rocket theme by Bloc ?
Must be a very old outdated themes because Bloc stoped making themes there for several years ago.

Suggest you follow our posting guide and add a link to your site so we can check the problem. Also a link to the theme would be nice

That "templatestyle" is a variable which says which color version to use. If you got errors, you need to check if its even defined in index.template. and if not, simply adding a line like
$templatestyle = 1;
somewhere in index.template.php.

But as G6 says, I haven't worked on those for a couple of years, so they may have been changed.In that case you need to ask Rocketthemes about it.

in index.template.php I added that line (there was not one prior).

$templatestyle = 1;
// Initialize the template... mainly little settings.
function template_init()
{
        global $context, $settings, $options, $txt;

I still get the error.

I checked with rocckettheme and they tried to get me to switch to phpbb (lol!)

I know this is an old template but it really works for the site and with our frontpage integration and very high google ranking I dont want to change anything at all.

If I can get this fixed I'll put in a $20 donation

Switch to phpBB?! lol, thats an insult :)

Hm, the best way would be to take a quick look at the templates, since it may have changed from my old ones. If you send those to bloc@tinyportal.co.uk I can have a look.

I am using Joomla, I would switch to TP but I have a #1 google ranking in my category right now so I dont want to change a thing.

Just really looking to get rid of the error's that are filling up the logs and slowing the site down.

Got it, and sent back. It was an error with Display.template.

Jeff, do you have Display in that theme..? Looked like it was from another SMF Rocketheme possibly, maybe they just added it or something.

It was..but it had added a variable at the bottom, in the buttons paths, which didn't exist and wasn't used in this particular theme afaik.
