I suppose that stuff matters to some people. Not so much to me. The biggest thing for me is being able to customize my browser and get rid of all the crap that most of them put on the edges. If you don't turn off the toolbars, you end up barely being able to see the web page you're supposed to be looking at. Much of the screen is filled with browser instead of content.

I've managed to put everything I need on my FF browser window into one bar across the top, including the location (where you can type in URLs) and a Google search and icons to my freqently visited sites and all of the menu items (File, Edit, View, History, etc.). I tried out Safari, Chrome, IE8, Opera and Netscape, but I couldn't get any of them to work the way I can get FF to work.

As a very basic browser, Chrome all the way for me. It's neat, tidy and would run smoothly on a netbook.  For anything more... I use Firefox. If I'm designing anything for my site, graphics, .css tweaks etc, it have useful extensions.

It really is nice that there's a lot of choices out there so that people can use what they prefer.

I am another one that uses Chrome for browsing and some development.  I'm catching on to how useful Firefox can be for development too though.  No more IE for me unless I really have to.

Same for me.  I use Chrome almost all the time now when I'm just browsing and FF for development.  I was going to try Opera and Safari but never did.  Have IE7 installed but hardly ever use it unless I have to.  My computer has been trying to coerce me into installing IE8 for the past 3 or 4 months, or maybe more, but I haven't given in yet.

I have found only one thing wrong with Chrome.  The SMF News Fader doesn't work with it.  I reported that on the SMF site so that they can fix the issue in an upcoming release hopefully.  Otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

Firefox all the way, the only time I use others is to test them for a site/code. :) FF just has too many useful options for me to consider anything else.

Plus I just like the look of it. :) I also use Thunderbird, same reason.

..though, if it weren't for the Mozilla range, I would prob. use something like Opera's latest, with its built-in browser, email client AND download manager. At least no more Microsoft alternatives in this PC - ever.
