Hello.
My website is http://www.theomniforum.com/forum/index.php (http://www.theomniforum.com/forum/index.php)
I'm using the extreme 10 theme, I like the custom buttons.
What I'm wanting to do is create blocks that only show up on specific custom pages, is there any way to do this?
Hi Omni, welcome to TinyPortal.
The short answer is most likely yes, but it would be much easier to give you a more detailed answer if you supply the info called for in the posting guidelines. :)
Please read the Posting Guidelines.html (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581)

I have multiple add one pages (through the custom actions built into theme)
On some pages I would like to add a tinyportal block that ONLY shows up on that page.
Such as adding it to front page, or separate boards.
I'm wondering if the is a way to do this.
If your not sure what I'm referring to it's this checklist of places you want the block to appear on-
QuoteActions:
Display on all pages and sections
Frontpage
All Forum related sections
Board Index

I want my custom pages to appear in this list.
Thanks for any help.
Extreme 10 is one of Fussilet's paid themes so we may need to get some guidance from him.
Meanwhile; did you get Fussilet to adapt the theme to work with SMF 1.1.9? On his site it shows as a theme written for SMF 2.0 and when I tried to install it to my test sites it worked on 2.0 but not on 1.1.9.
Also... what "(through the custom actions built into theme)" are you referring to and what kind of pages?
If you are talking about TinyPortal articles, you should see those listed in your "Choose where the block should appear" menu.
Ken, did you install the right version? In our downloads, below the paypal button, there is a link for the SMF 1.1x version. It installed fine on my test site. The only thing that seems to be missing is the thumbnail for the theme selector. See the link on this page, below the buy button ...

Omni, I don't see anything special about the way this theme handles custom pages. Unless I'm missing something, it works the same as it does for any other theme. Have a look at this page on my test site ...

That page shows an article, and below that is an RSS block in the lower panel. That block is set to show only on that page (page 3) and no other. Is this the answer you were looking for? If not, explain exactly what it is you want to know.

Thanks for the link ZP, that worked. The page I was using only had the one version.
With the theme I can add custom pages and then make a button in the top bar. I want to tp blocks individually to these pages, but they don't show up in the choices. I don't expect them too seeing as it only shows the generic smf page choices, so I'm wondering if there is a way to add my custom pages.
If you look at my site you'll see that I use tiny portal blocks for home page.
Omni,
I have to admit that I'm still not sure exactly what you want to do but I think that you want to add a block to show only on your custom page or pages that you have created.
I notice that you have several custom actions that you have created (media, clansites, etc.). If you want a block that will show up only on a custom action page, then create your block and down at the bottom of the block edit screen, where it says "Choose where the block should appear. [Show] [Hide]" click show, and down at the bottom where it says "Custom actions ( format: action1,action2)", just put in the custom actions where you want the block to show. See the enclosed pic below for an example.

Yes that's exactly what I want to do, thank you.
Kudos to you.
Omni,
Very good.
May I go ahead and mark this topic solved, or should I wait until you have tried it to make sure?
ZarPrime
Solved.
Works perfectly.
