After installing a clean SMF 1.1.9 and TP 1.0 beta 4 I realise
that you can not change Frontpage "Set fixed width:" at all.

This is now a theme setting, the "width setting" of TP ONLY affects the themes that supports it. The reason is that some themes would look strange or even error-like if you set other widths that whats expected within that theme. Especially fixed-width themes will suffer from this.
