When Frontpage Settings are as follows ...
1. Allow guests to see news from the news board - even if guest are not
allowed to see the board? YES
2. What to display on frontpage: Forum-posts and articles - sorted on
date
3. Article Layout A
4. Normal and Icons B
5. Display forum-posts on frontpage from: Test Board #1
...AND ...
When Test Board #1 is set to allow Guest to Access, Featured Article and
other Articles set to show on the Front Page are shown, along with the
posts from Test Board #1. However, when Guest are not permitted access
to Test Board #1, only the Featured Article is shown. The other Articles
and the Posts from Test Board #1 are not shown.

I can consistently reproduce this issue if the follow conditions are met
1. Front page is configured to show forum posts
2. Forum board to display posts on the front page is either empty or not readable by the current user
I.E. the board for forum post to display is restricted as unreadable by guests = users not logged in only see the featured article on the front page. The front page displays normally if the user logs in with an account that can read the board. If the board is empty all users only sees the featured article on the front page. This is regardless of the setting for "Allow guests to see news from the news board - even if guest are not allowed to see the board?"

I am not sure if this is fixed or not, as it was rewritten. Leaving it open until tested on beta5.

Hmmm, I don't yet have beta 5 setup on my SMF 1.1.10 test site (still only beta 4), but I do have it on my SMF 2.0 RC1.2 test site. I can try it on that over the weekend just to check it. Maybe one of the others has it on an an SMF 1.1.10 site and can check it on that.
