Title: Fatal Error when adding new category
Post by: sburke930 on June 10, 2009, 02:14:55 AM
SMF 1.1.9
TP 1.0 b4
Darker theme based on default

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 80740352) (tried to allocate 74 bytes) in
/mnt/w0903/d45/s17/b02eea8f/www/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/testforum/Sources/TPortalAdmin.php
on line 2746

here is what is on line 2746

'id' => $myparent,

I have searched for a fix but have not found anything besides a bugtracker that affected some other line of code.

I have 23 categories presently and it crashes at 24.  Is there some kind of a limit on categories that I can change?  On our previous forum (e107) we have over 60 categories.  What is the possiblitiy of having 60 on TP/SMF?

Your host needs to up the memory_limit in the PHP settings to at least 16MB. Currently, it looks like you only have 8MB.

Thank you for the quick response IchBin!  I have requested the change with our host (netfirms).
