Title: TinyPortal Slow
Post by: enokad on June 05, 2009, 07:41:22 AM
Hi,

i've got a problem with TinyPortal on SMF - my website is now really slow ... the smf is still fast but if I visit the mainpage of TP or an article or something then I have to wait about 20 seconds that the page reloads ...

Are there any solutions to speed up TP?

Cant say tp slows down any site iv been to eccept the ones with heavy loaded artickler, rss feed big images etc.
Also some sites that have bad hosting where the servers are heavily loaded can be a problem.

But in your case from the thin description and no info what so ever about anything except SMF at TP installed, we cant give you any better answers then check your content and install of TP

Just to check you can pay a visit to my site, i have a LOT of load on my forum page there, see how long it takes you to load the forum part with all these sql calles i have going there.

Hey,

thanks for your answer!

I visited your webpage and it takes as long as it takes to visit my site.
Maybe theres a problem with the internet here.

But we have no really SQL Parts or anything else, still a simple webpage with an article on the mainpage.

I cant show you the page, cause its secret from my company ...
I could send it to you via PM but its not activated for me. ^^

Thanks!

enokad, if you'd like some help you must provide us with details. First a link. Second, what are you settings for the places you are seeing slowness. Do you have Blocks, rss feeds, articles? We need more info from you. All of which you can see by reading our Posting Guidelines (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581)
