Title: Uploading - 'Choose board to post topic in' = unpopulated/empty
Post by: Freddy on June 02, 2009, 03:27:25 PM
Link to my site: offline work with Abyss Webserver
SMF version: 1.1.9
TP version: TinyPortal v1.0 beta 4
Theme name and version: Default
Browser Name and Version: Firefox 3, Chrome
Mods installed: None
Related Error messages: n/a

Can't find anything on this :

When I go to upload a file to the downloads section there is also the option to create a post on the forum.  Trouble is the drop down used to select which board the post is to go in is unpopulated (see screenshot).

Same problem for me. Looks like it could be a bug.

maybe i don't understand this problem but it is not bug i think. firstly we choose boards for support topic from dl amanager settings screen, then we can choose board for support topic for each file from upload screen. i am wrong?

You are correct! I forgot about that setting. I think the wording needs to be changed from "Boards to use for support topics" to "Boards available to post download topic"

Aha yes.  Very well spotted.  I didn't notice it because it has [show] and [hide] there and it was hidden.  My mind just skipped on past it.

Now I see how it works.  Also worth mentioning that you should set the permissions at the bottom of that page too for members who can create posts.

Thanks for that.

Shall I delete the bugtracker entry ?

Edit : never mind I see it was marked solved..
