Title: [bugtracker] Article Image Addresses shortened by Editor
Post by: Rafferty on May 27, 2009, 10:03:50 AM
SMF 1.1.9 actually.

Link to my site: https://aadaa.asn.au
SMF version: SMF ver. 1.1.9
TP version: TP ver. 1.0 beta 3
Theme name and version: Default
Browser Name and Version: Firefox 3.0.10
Mods installed: too numerous +100

I have just upgraded from PHP4 to 5. All seems ok with the exception of existing articles which stopped displaying uploaded pictures/photos. On checking the articles, I noted that all the full addresses had been shortened ie:

from http://mydomain/forum/tp-images/image.jpg
to:
/tp-images/image.jpg

Even when i re-point the picture using the editor, it still shortens it after i save. When I go into the code and put it in manually its fine.

What has happened here and was the smf 1.1.9 upgrade, TP beta 4 upgrade, the PHP upgrade, or the editor the cause?

All worked well before in beta 3 with the .js addition

Just to be sure now, you ARE running on TP Beta4 now ? The description on top say beta3 ?

YES, I am experiencing the SAME bug. W/ the new editor AND the upgrades, it does shorten the path. When it does that, the graphic sometimes shows up in the editor, but NOT when viewing the article. Any ideas? On a site like mine w/ multiple people working on it, this is a big problem. We're already having problems w/ the removal of FCKEditor (IchBin, make that module...)

The solution was to pay someone to make me a mod where I can use the FCKEditor. Works pretty good too! Life is good again.
