I have just upgraded from PHP4 to 5. All seems ok with the exception of existing articles which stopped displaying uploaded pictures/photos. On checking the articles, I noted that all the full addresses had been shortened ie:
from http://mydomain/forum/tp-images/image.jpg
to:
/tp-images/image.jpg
Even when i re-point the picture using the editor, it still shortens it after i save. When I go into the code and put it in manually its fine.
What has happened here and was the PHP upgrade the cause or the editor?
I wonder if this will fix your issue. Seems similar, but not exact.

Thanks but I have already done that Ich, after initially upgrading to beta 3. It worked fine up until the point of upgrading to PHP5 last night, before that it was fine unless the smf 1.1.9 upgrade had anything to do with it. .
May be related to the register_globals change in php 5 from php 4.
http://www.php.net/manual/en/security.globals.php
Form may not be POSTing the value properly under php 5; you may could try turning it on in your php.ini file just for a quick check.
Done so and no change. The second I save the article, it reverts back to the shortened link.
Pretty quiet out there now. Any other suggestions, the problem still exists.
Guys this is really getting kinda annoying now. No images are saving correctly in Articles. Same problem, shortens the address on saving. I need to go into html code and change each one manually then save it whilst in html mode, if i go back to hide html and save it, it shortens them again.
Upgrade to beta4 and see if it helps
pre-emted that, no change, same thing
Ok, then i think it's a bug report time then.
Add this issue to the bughtracker with all the info you can give, and link back to this topic and let Bloc look at it when he get the time to, :)
Thx G6, done.
