TP Version: 1.0 (beta 3)
SMF Version: 1.1.8
Theme: SMF Default
Issue:
Upgraded from TP 0.9.8.3 to TP 1.0 (Beta 3). Can no longer see either Shoutbox or FelBlog.
I read the advice at http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,23026.0 (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,23026.0) and tried to follow it.
The data from the previous installation exists and is accessible to the module because I see it when I click on Modules and Tage | TP Simple Shoutbox.
I even tried to create a *new* shoutbox... but it failed to show up on the panel at all... all I can see is the title of the 'old' box!
Clearly I'm not doing something right so some advice would be appreciated! :)
For felblog you'll have to seek help from Felines site.
Try reinstalling the shoutbox and see if it works.

I'm sure this will sound like a very silly question - but where do I *
uninstall* it to be able to reinstall it??
I'm beginning to think I missed something fundamental! :)
You uninstall in the modules and tags section.

Ok - uninstalled, and reinstalled:

Shoutbox table exists already. No table created.
The module is now installed.
However it isn't showing up on the main page. Also... I tried to create a box called 'NewShoutbox' and that block doesn't show at all either, hence me figuring I'm missing something simple - I just can't see quite what right now.
Welshdog,
Where do you want to show the shout box, just on the front page?
Create a new block with the block type TP Module and save it. Once you save it, it should come back and allow you to choose the Simple Shoutbox. Do that and save it again. Then go to the bottom of the block edit page, where it says [Show][Hide]. Click [Show] and it will expand the visual options below it and allow you to check just to show on the Front Page.
After this, save again and go back to the blocks and panels page and make sure the block is set to show (green instead of red). If you still can't get it to work, setup a temp Admin account and PM it to me. I'll be online for probably another hour or so.

welshdog,
Did you set where the block is to show?
In TP Beta 3 when creating a block you have an area at the bottom with:
Choose where the block should appear. [Show] [Hide]
Click show so you decide where the block will display at.

Aha... well ok... I *
did* set it... but when I uninstalled and reinstalled I must have forgotten to set the block position again.
Thanks for that... now it shows up!! I thought it was something really simple.
And now I have *
another* issue - so a new thread methinks!
Marking Solved.

Apologies - I thought I'd changed the icon.
