Using SMF 1.1.8. Trying to upgrade TP from V. 0.9.8.3 to Beta 3 at http://australianopinion.com (http://australianopinion.com) using SMF Default theme..
WhenI try to uninstall from package Manager I get the following message:

This package cannot be uninstalled, because there is no uninstaller!

Is there another method I can use?
Started reading the thread at http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,27943.0.html and wondered if this was the way to go??
I'd really like to get the upgrade done ready for SMF V2.0 when it's ready to go. :)

Download TP 0.983 as if you were going to install it so that it will be in your package directory and try uninstall again.
Or upload it to /Packages. If the file is already there, check the permissions and ownership of it.

Ok... uploaded the TP_0983.zip to the server replacing the previous version. Uninstalled (ignoring the warning) then attempted to Apply the "TinyPortal 1.062" mod.
This produced a 'Tiny Portal page' which said the following:

Well ok it helpd when I realised I was trying to apply the wrong Mod... gawd.
I re-uploaded beta 3 and it installed. I seem to have lost the shoutbox content but that's no biggie... tho the blogs seem to have vanished as well.
Will go back and see if I can see if any boxes need 'ticking' and come back if I need assistance. :)
Might be a conflict with the blog. Check the file edits for TP.

The blog module isn't showing up at all so I'll have to go nag Feline for some support on that :)
Ich Bin has been helpingwith the SHoutbox but even tho I can see the data in Admin I can't get the actual box to function on the panel. Driving me crazy because I can't understand why it isn't there! :D
What I mean is, when you updated TP some of the code might be missing or duplicated. You'll want to check the manual edits to make sure.
EDIT: You'll also need to do the same for FelBlog.

Read all that thanks - turned out the reinstall had fixed it but the position box hadn't been 're-ticked' so once told to do it... it worked.
Now I just have to fix an abberant Profile file and I'm done. :)
Marking solved. If you have any more problems please start a new topic with that problem.
