Title: RSS in block
Post by: totaltutankoll on March 25, 2009, 01:26:48 PM
Hi

I've been trying more than once to use the RSS-feeder in a block at my SMF/TP but I don't get it to work as I'd like to. When installing the block and feedreader I always end up with like 20 new articles from my feed when I only like to have five of them.

The instruction for creating and alter a feed for the SMF/TP worked like a charm and I have a special newsboard which flows with 5 headlines from my portal at the time but HOW do I limit a flow from the outside to do the same?

You cannot control that within TinyPortal. That is a feed option. You'll have to use a third party script for this. If you use a search here, you'll see that this has been covered quite a few times.

Aha, that is what I suspected. Then I don't need to worry about it. But I can say horray for the description of making various flows for a forum. That is awsome :)

Did some googling and here's a tip (http://www.feedcombine.co.uk) for combining rss-feeds or just have one simple one all cleansed up  :)
