TinyPortal

I would love to see a TinyPortal Links thing like the download manager (only for links instead of for files). Right now I am using the menu block for my links (mostly links to websites of the bands who are members of my site), and it's getting rather long, plus I want to have categories and let other users submit links (with the option for approving them before they get posted). If I ever get enough free time to do something like this, I may see if I can modify the download manager to do this, but I've got too many other things to do right now (such as a working G2 bridge for SMF 1.1RC2).

What I did on one site Oldiesmann was to create a php article using include('pages/links.html'); for them all, and link to that. Tha way adding new ones is as easy as updating the html file and not disturbing anything in TP.

Yeah, I might do that at some point. I'd rather see a built-in module though.

Me too, but Bloc has plenty on his plate as it is. Perhaps at some point in the future.

Just adding my 2 cents to say I'm interested in this, as well!

For now, I'm just going to make an article with my link list in it, so that I can update it easily, but I'd love to see something where I can make categories, and allow my users to add links (but it definately needs some sort of moderation queue, because I could see this getting spammed, otherwise).
