There are couple posts regarding this but I'm still a little puzzled. ???
I'm sure that in the previous version I could upload an image whilst creating an article and then insert the image.
Have things changed with .86 so that images have to be ftp'd to a directory and then selected for insertion?
You can both atache images to your article, just as you do in the forum posts.
And you can upload images to a folder and then link it in your article.
When I open a new article the "image" button shows a browse button, but that only allows you to select from a URL, not from your PC.
Or am I missing something? :-\
"browwe" should look in your harddisk...doesn't it do that?
No, just goes to a folder on my server.
hm, strange. I will need to check this out.
Is there anything I can check from this end?
ah, I am really sorry..I was in fact looking at the new editor on my test-site with upload capability... The current in v0.8.6 do not have upload options. It was meant to be, but other things took presedence then.
Is there a way I can config which directory it looks in?
when I created a new article it seemed to add the image but would not do so after the article was saved. I did not try this again before posting this reply.
I wonder if people could divulge[tell ;)] what they use the upload manager for so some, like me,could make better use of it.

I'd really like an answer to this. Having lost the facility to upload images (a very backward step from .7 IMO) I would like to be able to decide where I FTP my images. The way this works at present I will have to upload images into my website/images folder, which I do not want to do.
Just any folder really..meaning you need to browse your way to it.
nix this whole reply :uglystupid2: :idiot2:
