Title: Problem with articles in Beta 3
Post by: sturmkatze on March 10, 2009, 05:05:04 AM
If I use the new editor, the whole article disappears when you try to save it. Is there a way to use the FCKEditor? Or maybe install their newer version of it? I ask this as the new editor will not let me put ANY formatting at all in there--if I try, it deletes the text. I have to set to not show editor (defeating the purpose of having so a number of people can edit the site).  I know, I could code it, but I don't want to do that. I want to have a wysiwyg editor so the others can do it--need it really. And anyway, I don't think in code. :tickedoff:

BTW, this was a clean install. It's been updated to smf 1.1.8 THEN TP v1.0 beta 3 installed. NOTHING MORE. ::) (yet)

Beta 4 will have modified editor files, as its the editor that does it. In the meantime, try exchanging this js file(its in a zip) with the original - its located in tp-files/tp-plugins/javascript/whizzywig/.

Thanks for the fix bloc.
It kinda worked for me. It saves when you initially create a new html article which is better than it was  but when you go back and edit it then re save it she gone again.
I know this is going to be fixed in beta 4 but thought I would add my two cents just in case it might get overlooked. :)

thanks for all your hard work.

Uhm, the files were to fix exactly that, recurring edits getting wiped. Sure you got it properly updated?

Chino,

Download the file "whizzywig.zip" which is attached to this post --> http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,28788.msg229572.html#msg229572

Unzip the javascript file contained in the zip and upload it to the following folder via FTP ...
/tp-files/tp-plugins/javascript/whizzywig/

It is a replacement for the javascript file located there.

I tried this fix, but when I go to edit the html code and try using the style attribute it removes it.

eg: style="margin: 10px;" applied to an image - and that disappears.

The fix that was supplied fixes that exact issue. If your fix is not working, I would think that the file is not getting replaced properly.
