I know this has been covered a million times but can someone please point me in the right direction as to where I can find instructions on how to upgrade from tp v0.9.8 to v1.0.6 beta2? I dont have the uninstall option im my package manager so im sure this means i have to do it manually?

Uninstall TPv098 ( just the files, folders and codestrings ) and when it''s uninstalled, install the new TP package.
But if i were you, i would wait a little longer for Beta3 to get released, it's not far off now.

Just a note extra here, DO NOT DO THE DATABASE REMOVAL PART!!! The new tp updates the database so you will have all of your tp content left, so dont remove anything in the database and you will be OK.
And offcourse, always backup the files.

Often if you are using a lot of modifications, unless you want to manually delete the code from the files that have errors in the uninstall process, this is the easiest and most efficient way to upgrade

have tried this but it just tells me that the package has already been uploaded...
so now i am wondering how i can go about editing the package-info that i have to include the latest versions.. i can see the package under packages using ftp but its zipped, how can i access the file to do the edits?
or is there another way i can do this, i just want to uninstall tp without having to do the whole manual thing!

The latest package was modified to include the uninstall link, so you have to FTP the zip file to your server overwriting the old 098 package. Then, the uninstall link should show up.
