I have SMF(1.1.8) installed on subdomain http://forum.bla-bla.com/ , on one histing account and old page on http://www.bla-bla.com on second hosting account.
Is it possible to install TinyPortal so that
http://www.bla-bla.com will be show TinyPortal main page and
http://forum.bla-bla.com/ will be show forum page
?
I ask becasue I already tried to install TP on SMF, and I not found any settings to make this installation separetely on 2 different domains.
No, you can't. TP must be installed on the same installation as SMF.
:-( Thanks.
Only one way to do "similar", is
1) make http://forum.bla-bla.com/ to point to the forum page http://forum.bla-bla.com/index.php?action=forum
2) make redirection from http://www.bla-bla.com/ to the http://forum.bla-bla.com/
I don't see the point.
SMF and TinyPortal share the database. Thats it. Nobody really cares what the address is doing.
TP can provide a Home styled front page, you include a forum button to your themes (currently the way it works).
Do you already have a Home Page and another page for the Forum? Thats the only reason I can see that it would be useful to split the software over 2 domains.
