Greetings all....
So... I decided to update to the latest and greatest in Tiny Portal.... I have to say it's OK... Not great compared to the original .98... I have been frustrated with a few really quite minor issues...
While I think it was an awsome idea to make the aditional options of TP to be modulized I have to say this has been a downfall in one of the coolest features of TP which for our site has always been the ShoutBox...
While my Forum (http://www.beerdrinkersunited.com) does not get a lot of trafic it does OK for what it is but my users loved the shoutbox to throw freindly insults... I liked to have it scroll but now the scrolling speed does not work...if I enable scrolling it errors on the page with undefined Pause and Marquee speed...
When is this feature going to be fixed or better yet...When are all the cool modders gonna make an even better shoutbox for TP?
I would do it if.... Well, I had a clue about coding....... Er....Or a clue in general....
The issue is fixed in bet3. There is another shoutbox with a ton more features that Stormlrd was working on. Unfortunately he's not able to be on for a while to update it.
How does one get Beta 3?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. We are working on getting any big bugs out of the way for beta3 to be released to everyone. No release date on it, but I will say I think its getting close.

So....I got Beta 3 loaded... Fiddled with shoutbox...Still no joy... Looked in the bug list and saw someone haveing the same exact isse as I have..
On Febuary 7th agridoc submitted bug #444

on Febuary 11th the bug was closed with:
- Some of the CSS from scrolling interfered with the bigger screen.Fixed for TP v1.0 beta3.
Can someone clarify this? in Noob Terms and point where I might need to go to fix this?

TinyPortal v1.0 beta 3
SMF 1.1.8
P.S. I hope the above proves to some that I really did my research and searched the forums before I posted this...
Shoutbox scroll and viewing the last 50 shouts works absolutely fine for me. If you have install beta3, then you should not have any problems. If you are, then something on your install is probably screwed up. At which point you should probably go through the manual install to make sure everything is done. Also, do some testing on different themes, with different settings etc.
One more thing, try removing shoutbox from TP modules screen(the shouts will still be in the database) then re-install it. Sometimes files aren't updated properly.
