Ok, I am not a total noob. If this is answered elsewhere in a sticky post or if I am making a total idiot of myself for asking, well fine just shoot me but please post an answer, or a link to help me prior to the beheading!
What I want to know is, when I install a theme on my site where I have already installed oh 12 mods lets say, the new theme doesnt ever include the list of mods across the top (links) as it does with the default SMF installation.
I am using SMF 1.1.7
games, multiplayer games, the rules mod, eliana karma mod, staff mod, media gallery mod, TP, and etc etc,
a screen shot of the header would show the typical links like "Home" "Forum" "Help", etc after installing and selecting the new mod all that is there is the default links without the mods - I know its a php file like sources or index or something, but there never seems to be a clear cut answer or way to fix all that.
Any guidance would help. Thanks!
Each theme has its own menu function in the index.template.php file. We have a guide that shows how to do it in the default theme. The code will not be the same in all themes, but you should get the basic idea of how it works.
How to add a Home button or a new tab? (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=30)
excellent answer ! Thanks I know its more of a SMF /php thing and not really a TP issue. It would be nice to see a mod that makes installing a theme easier - wow that would be a serious claim to fame for any themes site! I know its do-able, just as anything it would require a lot of thinking, which btw I am NOT good at.
If I had a brain I would be dangerous - thats all I am saying...
