Seems you left out some stuff in these theme. I think you forgot to include the $settings stuff for TP 0.9.8 to work.

Also, it seems the theme has something wrong with displaying UTF8 characters. Notice my name, and the linktree both have bad characters in them when viewing on this theme.
And last, but not least!.. :) It seems the linktree is not showing for one user on the top in SMF2 beta4.
