Hi, me again... :coolsmiley:
Some of my members have really wide screens, and some TP blocks stretch way over there on those. Is there a way to limit the horizontal size of blocks? Do I need to tweak the code? :P
Please see screen shot.
SMF 1.1.6
TP 1.0.5
TIA.
Sarah
I dont think thats block related, i think it's your code used in the center that causes this, the blocks should stay the same widh no matter the resolution on the screens.
From the looks of it on your screenshot, it seems it's the centercontent you have there that make it look the way it does.
The ones in the center are tables with fixed width, that's why they stay the same size. Is that what you mean?
I've attached a screenshot of how it looks on my normal size monitor.

Yes, thats exactly what i mean :)
If that content have fixed with, it will never follow the diffrent screen resolution used by your members.
Eather make the content follow the resolution ( float ) or tell your members you have opted your site to be viewd in the resolution you have on your screenshot :)
So is there no way to control the width of the blocks?
Only by panel settings or % if you use the grid layout
In the panel settings, I don't see the way to set block width, and I don't know how to access the grid layout. Can you please tell me how to find those? :)
What is your setup, as you didnt give the info in your first post according to the posting guide, i assumed you had the latest release of tp installed.

Of course, sorry I overlooked that part.

Did you use the search and also did you read our documentation ?

Yes I did, before I posted - if I had found the answer that way, I wouldn't have bothered you.
You can't control the width of each block individually. You can only control the width of the entire panel. If you want your tables to stretch to the width of the block, then set the code on your tables to use a percentage instead of a fixed width in pixels.
Thank you, Ichbin. I appreciate the help, as always. Thank you too, G6.
