Last night I uninstalled smf arcade and was installing e-arcade and when I hit the install button for e-arcade I went to a page that said server error 500. I contacted my server host and they said there was a problem with the way cgi was set up(which they did a month ago) and that they fixed it. Now when I go to my website http://www.premiergamers.com/ none of the blocks show up except the user block and recent block(which is topics that can be viewed by guests) The bottom of the home page doesn't show up where the copywrite info is. All the other pages that are accessed from the top buttons just go to blank pages that have the link Premier Gamers * Forum on them. The pages that I made with the custom action mod still have all the blocks on them http://www.premiergamers.com/index.php?action=OGO http://www.premiergamers.com/index.php?action=RW http://www.premiergamers.com/index.php?action=clanpages But for some reason they now are using the default theme, and they weren't even doing that this morning. I can't login to my admin panel or see anything and don't know why. I checked all the files that are changed by both the smf arcade and the e arcade but can't see any of the changes in there. Is it possible that during the uninstall of smf arcade there were error created in one of these files that is making this happen? Like I said I checked these files and didn't see anywhere where the changes had been made but I don't know much and am very lost here. I do have backup files but I made them before I upgraded to TP 1.0.6 from 1.0.5. Will this matter, can I just overwrite the files there now with the backup and will that work? Have no idea if you can upload the files. With all the mods you have who knows what that would do. If you're having that many problems after installing other mods, I don't see any possible way for us to be able to trouble shoot it as we don't support the other mods. You're best bet IMO would be to start with a fresh set of files. Installing one mod at a time, making sure that each of them work. Only installing the next mod, if all other previous things on your site are working properly.
Ok so I can go back to fresh smf install and upload just the files and change the settings.php to my database info. Then this will keep all the data like posts, members and such. And then just go back through and add what I previously had one at a time? Let me know as I am very lost and want to get this up again. Thank you.

Uploading the files from the "large upgrade" package for SMF will only change your files. You will not have to change anything in Settings.php or your database as they will not be touched. From there, you should be able to install mods.
Ok thank you. I am just waiting to hear back from my host to see if they found any problems that might allow me to avoid this but that is what I was looking for. If they can't find anything then that is what I will do. Thanks again. Are there any files that I should remove before doing this?

One more then hopefully I can handle it from there. I still need to run the upgrade.php right? I will come back to let you know how much I messed up doing all this. :)
Ok one more. How about TP, will I just have to install it again?
Just wanted to add that using a reputable FTP client may help alleviate some possible problems with the transfer of the files...

Right now I am using FlashFXP and seems to work good. I did what you said and it worked great but when I tried to install that arcade again even though my host said the problem was fixed it did the exact same thing again and I got another server error. Now I have to wait for them to look at it again. Maybe I am just dumb but I would love to get the e arcade going. What are the reasons that trying to install this would mess up the server. What are the file permissions supposed to be though just to be sure. I read somewhere but not sure. Thanks again both of you.
I did not run the upgrade.php when last time either. Do I need to do that?
I have been reading through this tread and see you have no troubble with SMF, and no troubble with SMF and TP, but as soon as you install arcade ( E arcade is it ? ) you get these errors.
You have to see k help from ericsworld ( same place you get earcade from ) and read their support forum they have, you have a manual install instruction there you can follow that will help you out.
I think your issue is the same as i had the other day, permissions, so when you install arcade, the code edits it needs to add in the SMF files needs to be added in manually.

As your setup works fine with SMF and with TP installed, but break when you install other mods, you have to seek help from them who made the other mods or SMF as most of the modmakers are there.
Our support stops at TP as thats what we do here on this site :)
That is fine. I just asked a question here that I have not been able to get a response to at erics world. I am sorry if this upsets anyone I was under the impression that I would be able to come here to ask for suggestions and support from people more knowledgeable than myself. So far that is exactly what I have gotten. I don't know why that everytime I make a thread and say anything about a mod or if I post on the smf forum and say anything about having TP installed I come to this same conclusion. All that I asked was if anyone had any suggestions as to why the mod was breaking my forum. Thank you for your reply and I had thought of the same thing with regards to permissions. But I do not need to be reminded that this is not completly a TP problem. As I stated before I have posted on erics world and do not get any responses. It seems like I usually get suggestions and such from here much quicker and in a much better manner. Usually. Again thank you and I will be happy to mark this topic as solved as there seem to be no more need for TP support.

You have the manual install instructions posted there in the forum just like we have here for tp on this site.
Ask a question and wait for an answer can take for ever on some forums, we all know that, but the info you need regarding the earcade are posted in the forum there allready, so more or less, what you need you have right infront of you :D
Look in the forums on ericsworld sticky topic and you see it right there :)
