Perhaps I'm missing something...
I don't see a way to give "Moderators" permission to edit Articles without making them moderators of a specific board. It appears that it's only possible to set a "Global Moderator" to Edit Articles because the interface says that "Moderator" is a board-specific permission. I don't see a way to change a member's status to "Moderator", I only see a way to make a member a "Moderator" of a specific board.
What I want is for individual members to have permission to edit articles without being moderators of any board. Is this not possible?
(My install is SMF1.1.6/TP1.0.5)
UPDATE: Okay I figured out the answer to my question. I was unaware of the fact that it is possible to create new membergroups with their own unique permissions. So that solves my problem; simply create a new membergroup and give it permission to edit articles.
Indeed :) Or set them to Global Moderators will give the same options.
I will mark this to solved
My global moderator don't have tinyportal permissions .
I need help :'(
thanks.
What version of TP are you using? There are different features in different versions, so without knowing what version you have, we can't help you.
In general, you need to modify the permission of the Global Moderator group, but that's all I can tell you without more info.

how change the permissions of the global moderator from the data base?
Do the following:
ADMIN --> Permissions --> Select "modify" Global Moderator --> Under Tinyportal check "Manage Articles"
That should do it
not appear Tinyportal check "Manage Articles"! :'( not appear check boxes. language correct.
Did you look in the top half of the page... where all the Tinyportal permissions are?
Do you have any Tinyportal permissions listed?
missing this options :(
I assume you have Tinyportal installed correctly...
Are you looking under Global Moderator? Moderator will not have these options but Global Moderator will.
My global moderator not have this options.
I desactivate this options, but now, I can't activate.
database solution?
I can't answer your question on how to fix the fact that you are missing these options for your Global Moderator.
I am sure one of the TP guru's here will see this and suggest something.
If you are missing these options, tinyportal did not install properly for you. You will need to go through the manual install instructions and make sure all the code is altered, and the files have been uploaded.
