Would it be possible to block certain users from the shoutbox? for abuse of the facility ect. Not groups but individuals!

Create a group and place the users you dont want in there, Then block that group from using the ShoutBox. ???

Shame as it would have been nice to have had a "ban" list for the shoutbox.

Checking for "banned" membergroups would be possible..but "banned" individuals can get pretty big fast. If it were to be included i think having on membergroup level would be the best. Means just adding a member to a "shout banned" group, and it won't touch anything else, just the shout! button will be gone.

Actually I think this could be a good feature...what do others think?

I think its a good idea. Also maybe add a warning/ban drop down menu when you click on the name in shoutbox. So if user has XX warnings they will be automatically banned or a ban suggestion. And if current user is admin it offers permanent ban or ban for XX days. But instead of just omitting the submit button I would disable it and offer a reason why.

I will look into that, it could be good to have this mini-ban just for shoutbox.
