Im trying to install the TP1.05 on my SMF 1.1.5 board.
Ok im bad with coding so I want to do the auto install. Anyways I did this but I got the error:
11. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/index.template.php Test failed
Also im not running the babylon theme, so if I were to install it would the TP work?
Now before you say it, I did read the "Test Failed On Installation?" page. I started working my way thru it but then got stuck on step 5:
5.| In the folder "TPfailed-install" open the "tp-version.mod" that corresponds with the TP version you are trying to install. Browse through it's content to familiarize yourself with the editing instructions before actually doing so. Now, open a copy of the files in your "TPfailed-install/SMF/TP" directory with your editor, and follow the editing instructions from your "tp-version.mod" file. Remember when reading edit file instructions:
* $boarddir = files from the forum root listed above.
* $sourcesdir = files from the sources directory above.
* $themedir = files from theme directory above.
I do not understand this, also where is the "tp-version.mod" file that I need?
Click me Test FAILED on Installation? (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=32)
And also the steps with copy and paste
How do I manually install TinyPortal (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=29)
Modification Instructions (http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=140)
Yes I have read those as I posted above....but im confusied on what to do. Do I just edit my index.php that is in my forum root directory and the other files that are listed in the "Modification Instructions" page with those steps...copying and pasting? I dont get where my Default index.template.php comes into play?
Thanks
Yes, continue the install, and then follow the modinstruction for the index.template.php and add the code manually :)
okay then once its installed I just load in a theme?
thanks
Most themes will work with TP 1.0 beta1. However, if you don't get the theme from this site you'll most likely have to add the forum button.
