Title: New install. Many warnings after ftp of tp0983
Post by: hygron on October 06, 2008, 05:07:56 AM
Hey G6, Ichbin, and the rest of you supporters!   :D It has been awhile, but I was asked to build a forum with tp for a friend, and somehow I messed up!

I tried to install tp0983 package thru package manager, and it failed, message possibly corrupt.  OK   No biggee.  Seen that before.  So;

I went and opened my ftp client, and manually trudged thru uploading all the files, folders.  did Chmod, and when I pointed browser at

http://afflictionband.ca/smf (http://afflictionband.ca/smf)

Forum was up until this problem I got.  Here is path to tp_install

http://afflictionband.ca/smf/tp_install.php (http://afflictionband.ca/smf/tp_install.php)

SMF v1.1.6
tp v0983

No Theme's other than package themes
NO Mods installed

I attached Error message.

Thanks upfront for the help.  I know you guys are busy.  Peace, God Bless

Hygron

Not tp.install.php, but manual_tp_install.php will work  ;)

The package corrupt is because you didn't grab the package in the sticky at the top of this board. You should be able to use that package in the package manager.

here we go again.  LOL  I will try that , thanks to both of you.

I assume if package manager upload is successful, then that will fix the issues?

Oh yeah...I cannot get into forum because of errors.  Will deleting all TPfiles  allow smf to function normally.  (for future re:)

Fix which issues? lol The one's with the manual install? Well, if the install works, then I would assume you don't need to do the manual install. :D

No Hygron, do what i said in my reply

QuoteNot tp.install.php, but manual_tp_install.php will work

You have added all the code manually to the SMF files.
No you just need to upload the files inside the TP package manually to your forum folder, then point your browser to the file manual_tp_install.php
