Hey all. I have tried searching with this type of error but I can't seem to find the exact thing I am looking for.. I am probably not using the appropriate search term..
Anyway, the site has been running fine for quite awhile and then all of a sudden yesterday this error popped up and now no one can get to the site at all.. I can't even get into the admin section to try and fix it..
Has anyone seen this error before? Please advice.. This is my wife's site and she really wants me to fix it. :)
Thanks in advance..
Is that the whole error? It seems like you are missing part of it.
That is all that is popping up and I can't get further into the site to investigate it.. Is there anyway I can bypass the blocks and get to the site?
Take a look at the url I posted and you will see.. Like I said, it just started giving this error...
try yourforumurl.com/index.php?action=admin
I tried that on his site and got the same error, until I put the wap stull on the end of an unread link, then I was able to get far enough to get a login screen.

Seems like you have tried to install another mod when this happend ?
This error is what i get from your site
Unable to load the 'kick_guest' template.

Unfortunately, no.. My wife said that she hasn't done anything like that.. Hasn't installed anything and nothing other than just posting... That is why I am so lost on this one.
If you click the link I put up I could get a login screen but register wouldn't work.
You may be able to get far enough to deactivate the shoutbox if you try. Just keep putting ;wap2 at the end of any url that tries not to use wap after you login.
I tried Rus.. It just won't let me go to where I need too...
Could try dropping the 'blockid] :AdVshoutbox in your database table .. you can always add it back if it works
Once you have logged in via wap2, can you then just click this link?
http://www.takeabreakmommy.com/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=blocks
if you are using to 0.9.8 add ;noblocks to your URL
I never knew about ;noblocks, but I just tested it and it does work for some pages, like admin, in TP 1.05

Once I removed this.. I get this error now.

Also, is there a way to remove a mod when your not able to access your site? This might be a problem.. But why it would only now cause trouble I have no clue.
Yes, by remove of the code the mod adds to the files.
Check the mods .MOD or .XML file for info on what code it adds to the files, then reverse the steps.
For more info you have to seek help from the mod author on SMF forums
TP is the mod in question and I have a feeling that would be a lot of work.
I don't suppose you have a backup of your site?
The easy way would be to just replace all the files with new ones.
download the upgrade package from SMF ( big package ) follow the instructions they have for the upgrade.
That will bring the forum back up with fresh files and you can add back the mods you had again.
Just a quick reply to answer this post..
Turns out, it was my host... Siteground.. Seems they wanted to start some trouble. Alot of other people had the same problem and more problems starting at the same time.. I read the post over at SMF.. And everyone that was having problems had Siteground as their host.
So, I changed hosts and all problems have been fixed...
Thanks everyone for helping out!
Thanks for the update Keith. Appreciate you coming back to keep us informed.
No problem Ich. If I had a dime for everytime I come here with a problem that is/was caused by bad hosts.. I would be a millionaire. LOL
