Related Error messages: This package cannot be uninstalled, because there is no uninstaller!
First of all, Hello!
I'm trying to upgrade TP on my website, but 1.0.5 package installer says i need to uninstall 0.9.8 first.
Now, clicking [Uninstall] i get that message (This package cannot be uninstalled, because there is no uninstaller!).
Can i proceed to Manual Install without uninstalling prior version? Or is there another way to upgrade?
Thanks a lot in advance
Upload the TP V098 package to your Package folder on the server and browse back to the package manager and the uninstall link will be there

The zip file is already in the Package folder and I do have the Uninstall link. Though, when I click on it I get the message: "This package can't be uninstalled because there is no uninstaller!"
EDIT: The "Uninstall" link isn't in the "Browse Packages" tab, there I have just List files and Delete. Going to the "Installed Packages" tab I can click on uninstall, having the above message as reply.
Thats because you have a package without the uninstaller. Replace the old package with the new one and it will work

Deleted the package, downloaded 0.9.8 from here and reuploaded it. Same result :(
I can't even "apply the package" after uploading it. I get the message it is corrupted or not compatible with SMF version 1.1.6
Do a hard refresh on your browser after you replaced the package. Also clear your cache and temp internet files
The package will not install as it's not updated for smf1.1.6, you need to look at the sticky topics in the install board.
But first thing first, hard refresh, clear cache and temp files, browse back to your package manager and it will work
Solved. I had to downgrade SMF to 1.1.5 (uninstalled the update), then I could uninstall TP 0.9.8...
Now I applied TP 1.0.5 B1.
Thanks a lot
Marked as solved
