Post by: Ghostwriter on September 09, 2008, 12:10:07 AM
No matter where I go to download tinyportal, I keep getting it as .efw, I have a new forum and would like to use TP with it. BUT, the rate the DL keeps giving me an invalid SMF package file I am not sure what to do...Could someone please point me in the direction of a good zip for tp...

Where are you download it from?  What are you using to download it?  A download manager?  Just save it direct.

Try here:
TP 0.9.8 for SMF 1.1.x (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=25916)

Also this link might help in regards to .efw files

I am downloading directly to my computer, and then when I go to upload it to SMF, it tells me that it is not compatible. I had this problem awhile back, but I think it was Ichbin that was able to determine what the problem was.

The link you left me, is the same link I am dling it from, but it is not giving me a zip, it is giving me the efw and if I go into the file repository, I get the same problems with the file.

I am looking at the link you gave for the EFW..

Thanks for your help...

Well then it's your virus protection program.  I think just renaming the file extension will fix your issue.

Thats what it was Rumbaar, I am using CA Firewall and it renames all files to .efw from unknown sites, So I turned it off and it allowed me to dl the zip...Once again, thank you for all your help with this issue...
