How do I get the board statistics to display on the front page in a block please?
Sorry found it was looking in the wrong place. under tools, manage blocks then add a left block and then specify type as stats. Great tools feature.

Sorry guys do you know if I have to remove the simple download module so that the downloads manager works. Do I have to upload all the files again also can't I just move them around in ftp at all?
Am asking cause I can't find the category files in ftp for the download manager. Last time when using simple downloads I just uploaded through ftp.
Wow its even got an upload button thats nice. Do the uploads go to a protected area until admin approves them?
You can't just move files. TP keeps the files information in the database AFAIK. I would suggest your remove the downloads mod if you are worried about it. The uploads are restricted until an admin approves them. Unless you change that it doesn't have to be approved in the settings.

Thanks that is a relief I set it to just admins and moderators. makes sense now with what you have said I noticed it only picked up the package in the ftp contents folder meaning the file type categories and other info etc must be stored elsewhere. I just hadn't worked out where. :)
Yes I will remove it and I will swap the links around so it remains in the top menu also today. Will reupload the files and stuff. The only problem I have is adding new categories I tried to do it on the tools but I couldn't see an option for adding categories. Perhaps I have missed something though. Have I please Ichbin cause I don't see it anywhere.

Also, the directory where all uploads are, is not possible to link into...so members can't get things from it directly. It has to go through dl manager of TP.

Oh ok so I will remove simple downloads so at least I can get the stats cause I need the stats information. So I can evaluate how useful people are finding things. Thanks Bloc

Am in it but can't see it. I can only see one item on the category list and it allows me to edit that item but I can't see a link allowing me to add a category. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. I click on my tp admin, then downloads manager from the menu on the left. Then I get the item that I can edit or delete but only one category. I must be missing something somewhere.

I am also getting an error message when trying to upload files and still can't add new categories. Sorry.
Sounds like older files..are you using the latest updated files for TP?

Yes I uploaded everything through the package manager, am trying to do it again. I think I should do a fresh install perhaps.
I did a fresh install and am still getting the same results after reinstalling and updating the files for the recent changes.

That menu you have I don't have it at all the menu written accross the top where it says add category.
Bloc or Ichbin (or anyone else) do you have any idea what is wrong or how I can fix it perhaps, as I want to try and fix it tonight if possible. Thanks in advance.
It should show - at least it does on my 1.0.6 test-site. So I am guessing something was not changed correctly on install maybe..did you have a error-free installation of TP?

Yes it works when I paste that page into my browser address bar and allows me to add categories through there. Thanks that was helpful will use that for now and try to fix it properly later on today.
When I upload files though I am getting this error message :

Was the upload a wrong size, or wrong name? in regards to what you have as settings on it?
