I have just recent posts displayed on the front page. However, when they are displayed, the formattting for the very top post is different than the ones below it. I like the way the top post is displayed and was wondering if there was a way to make each of the rest of the posts display the same way. See the picture (which probably explains it better than I just did)

I like how the top one has the border around it, the rest are sans border like the one "Motorcycles, Life & Karma".

Needed to know your versions as well as what you're setup is. What is set to display on your frontpage? There's no recent post option. Do you mean show news from forum?
Frontpage settings are as follows:
Allow guests to see news from the news board - even if guest are not allowed to see the board? - YES
What to display on front page: forum-posts and articles - sorted on date
How frontblocks will be shown: Normal, fronblocks are shown alone.
Visual Options for frontpage: ALL ARE CHECkED - Left, Right, Upper, Top, Bottom, Lower, UserInfo/News at the top.
Sorting Order for Articles on Front Page: Sort By Date - descending
Articles layout for the frontpage: I have option A selected, which appears as a red block spanning the entire width, but only 1/3 of the way down.
Layout Types: Normal + Icons
Display Forum-Posts on FrontPage From: I have 3 of our boards selected here.
Number of Forum Posts to display on front page: 8
Number of characters to display per forum post: 800
Sorry - posting from each of these boards sorted by date essentially is what I meant by "recent post".
What I am getting at is that the topmost post always gets the formatting with the border and the avatar on the right side, along with print icon, etc. (as in the picture). Is there a way to get the rest of the posts displayed on the front page to carry that same formatting? I am prety sure I have seen it done somewhere else, but not sure where. (another MC forum that uses TP and SMF.

I think what you're looking to do would require you to edit the TPortal.template.php file, manually adding the code to make each subsequent post have the same formatting.
