Title: 500 ISE in articles after custom port. Am I missing any relationships?
Post by: glypo on August 02, 2008, 11:24:58 PM
Well I love TP, and managed to convince the site owner I help out to switch from Xoops to Tinyportal.

I've been getting on with heavily modifying a theme to look smart and fit the site, around 40% done there. So I decided to port the stories/articles from xoops into the articles. Then problem. I made a basic SQL to just simply port all my articles over from xoops to tinyportal.

However after I done this, I get a 500 error when I try and access the Articles/Categories part in the Admin CP! D'oh! So really my question is, why? Is the articles table relational to something else that I may need to update? (I only ported to the smf_tp_articles)

Here is a screenshot of my table (click to enlarge)
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.glypo.com%2Fgeneral%2Fsql-small.gif&hash=a9c2b232a961883b1ba1592ae401971ce320ce86) (http://www.glypo.com/general/sql.gif)

Is there anything obvious I could have missed here?

Any help would be massively appreciated as I want to get TP to work, I can't face going back to xoops!

Thanks!

If I remember right the articles are also tied to the tp_variables table. You should probably remove your "imported" article to fix your forum so you can access it. Then, create an article so you can see what tables and rows are affected. Then you'll be able to see the necessary changes you're going to need to make.

Thanks for the reply! Very quick too.

I already tried comparing like for like, and only thing that was missing was the "shortname". Maybe this is the problem, I'll try now. If it works, will be awesome and I can post my conversion kit up for everyone to convert entire xoops (including forum, as that works) to TP.

I done as you suggested, and got rid of my imported stuff and made a new article, and I couldn't see anything in the variables table change.

That depends on if you add it to a category or not.

Well I have now filled in the field "shortname" and still get the 500 error in the backend/admin.

I have already assigned the articles to a category (6) which I made previously.

I am now wondering if the error is due to my numbering, as my first news item is id 124 and some big gaps in someof the numbers.

Probably something Bloc will have to comment on if he sees this post.

Okay cool. I really appreciate your help trying IchBin.

I will keep trying to get this done. I do hope Bloc sees this though, as I am stuck!

Do you see anything in Forum error log?

It should not matter what the id's are..even with big gaps between.

So "index.php?page=251" result in a 500 error? ..is this on TP 0.9.8 or TP 1.0?
