I am not the most stellar person on the computer, but I can do a lot of things...I just can't figure out where to go to change the site banner though. Anybody know how to do it? I'm just lost.
Thanks.
depending on the theme, click the image you want to replace, then find it using the "path" in the url.
like this: http://www.yoursite.com/hhome/imgaes/imagelogo.gif
means its in the theme folder under images.. just rename your image and overwrite the files.. otherwise you will have to find out where in the files the orginal is, and rename it that way to have it show up ;)
Please read and fill in the info we ask for, changing a banner is diffrent from theme to theme.

okay, thanks. Now does anybody know why there's no way to link to the forum?

The top bar doesn't have a forum link thing or anything. I'm utterly confused, and I've been going through the admin panels for ages trying to figure it out. Thanks.
It would help if you would read here:

Looked at your site and see that you have a custom theme, that means that you must manually add a forum button.
You have to add a forum button manually for the theme in use, ask the theme author to help you code it in if you cant manage it your slef, it looks like the buttons are images, so i think you will need to have a forum button made to suit the others :)

ah, geez...This sucks...I guess I can try asking my friend who codes PHP...Thanks for your help. And why am I reading the Posting Guidelines? What did I do wrong?
you did nothing wrong, there is currently 2 versions of this out, and at least 3 working versions of smf.. sometimes knowing what you are working with, others can help you out a bit better.. makes sense?? ;)

oh, okay. That makes sense. I just hoped I wasn't doing something bad because I like this community, it is actually helpful. So I plan on being around here as I learn how to better operate TP and SMF. But anyways, thanks for all the help, this thread can be solved or locked or whatever.
