Title: tp_install.php not found
Post by: Smoothbrain on July 27, 2008, 02:46:57 PM
Link to my site: http://woefeatherconclave.com/testboard
SMF version: SMF 1.15
TP version: TP 1.05
Theme name and version: n/a just using defaults
Mods installed: none as of yet
Related Error messages: A couple of errors here which I believe to be related to the chmod permissions of my server.  I will list the errors and stuff I know and perhaps you can help.
First: while in smartftp, my entire testboard file appears empty even though I know I didn't delete anything and there should be stuffs in there.  In fact when I first open smartftp I can see the files but then as it goes idle they disappear and won't reopen.
Second: I have set all chmods to 755 as 777 does not allow me to load or see anything in my browser.  I am getting a 404 error however on the  http://woefeatherconclave.com/testboard/tp_install.php
Third:  I have manually modded all the files according to the manual install and mod guidelines.  I am just getting stuck on the final step.

Should I attempt this? http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=24076.0  even though 777 files are not visible with my server?  Is there any mod to that link that I should know of?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

BTW: My real board is here http://woefeatherconclave.com/testboard  but I did decide to attempt this on the testboard clone first as advised.

Please mark this as solved.  Out of trial and error I used the manual_tp_install.php extension at the end of my site and that worked like a charm. thanks again for such a nice mod and for providing free help.

Thanks, marked it now.  I am currently in the back everything up then transfer it over to the liveboard stage so that should go smoothly, will let you know soon.
