Title: Question About Frontpage
Post by: dustrho on July 16, 2008, 07:12:10 PM
So I have a forum already set up on my site that's here...

     http://www.sandtroopers.com/smf/index.php

I will be installing TinyPortal v1.0.5 beta1 very soon, and am hoping to use the updated frontpage setup in TP to be the site's home page (i.e. http://www.sandtroopers.com). However, I think I see a problem with that. The forum is located in a directory called SMF off the root, so I'm wondering how do I make the home page point to the soon-to-be installed TP site if it's not on the root? I really don't want to have to move the forum from http://www.sandtroopers.com/smf/ to http://www.sandtroopers.com.

I sure hope that made some sense, and am looking forward to hearing any ideas about this. Thanks!

I'm not a PHP coder, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what that link is telling me to do. Has anyone here done that to their site, to achieve what I initially asked about? Wouldn't a re-direct page be easier?

You'd have to do a redirect. Your host should be able to provide you with info on how to do that.
