Hi everyone. . I have a question or should I say I'm stuck on something.. Back then I was able to have articles appearing on my site and I was able to have two up.. This time I'm trying to do the same thing and I'm not able to complete. I recall before that whichever article I wanted to appear on top. I would select the featured and then the other one would appear below it. I can't do.. So now I'm asking for help. I create a separate cat for this new one.. Would that be it? could it be it? Should I just create the new article in the new one instead? and work around that way? questions questions questions. if anyone can help that would be great. I'm now learning this tp which I think is actually pretty good to use and learn new things. So thanks for this software :up:
well I attempted to do what I was saying.. I added a second article in the cat that I already have displaying, but still wasn't able to get both to display. :sigh: I would like to get this going as this next article that I've created would be like a welcome introduction to my online community.. I've also checked and messed with the settings for the front page and tried only articles to display, but still couldn't get it showing. any help here when available would be great. thanks!
I am not good with articles myself, but I have a suggestion for you :), if you ran a search on the forum for an answer to your problem and did not find it, try posting you TP version and that kind of information so when the RIGHT person comes along that can answer you will be able to do so without asking questions first.

I think you have some frontpage setting wrong.
You can only have one single article set as featured no matter hw many categories of articles you have.
But from what i can read you know this allready.
What is your frontpage settings ? From the top of my head i think you have it set to show one single article, and not "articles" and "frontpage blocks ?
You need to explore the frontpage settings and laborate with the options, i think you will find the solution right there. :)
Try showing articles on frontpage, and then just sticky the article you always want on top. Let me know if that works for you.
will do. another thing I was thinking last night was if I remember correctly. I did mention in my previous post that before I was able to do so with this beta of tp, but also at that time I didn't have any articles in a cat.. so I think I'll do that as well and have a look at my options once again on settings and front page. I'll also try out that sticky suggestion. :up:

well I'm back.. today I messed with it and I was able to do what I've been trying to do. I did go back in and mess around with settings and boom! it came out. :-D

lol.. yeah.. that's true. I've added another article.. I can say I enjoy how this is becoming to look!
