now im wondering, i dropped the db last night, uped it to my local, did some re arranging, then uped it back to the server, used repair settings, it was fine last night and this am, but now i get server not found.. host issue?

or did i screw something up? i dont think its me.. i just want to know what you guys think..

thinking on it now, i dont think its a host issue, cuz i can get to my splash page here: http://www.pixelbypaint.com so.... anyone??

and now its back again.. i have sent my host a message about this as well.. just doenst make sense.. and funny was that when i closed out the local (im using easyphp) then i can get back into the on line one.. makes no dang sense..  :o

Smokey I once messed up a name server entry that created this issue in my forum. Not sure if that is the case on this one but easy enough to rule out.

Or, is it possible it was looking for the site locally?

nope. i used the repair settings file when i re transfered, i havent messed with the name severs, the hosting acct is working cuz i can get to the splash, mmm.. im thinking mod maybe, but then those mods have been on for at least 2 weeks if not longer.. im not sure at all.. if it was a db issue it would say so, i dont have anything saying db, and the error log is from google.. i cleared it, optised and cleaned everything, but will keep my eyes out.. its got me stumpted.

the newer mods are the contact and the staff.. only thing new that i added, and that was changed 2 weeks ago  :-\

And how come this is posten in the themes support forum ?
I will move this to support and also, itäs more an SMF support issue then a TP issue.

You did put it in general, nut general are the themes board here ;)

Your issue are more a server issue, you will not know unless you start uninstall your mods one by one or just replace all the files with a fresh set from SMF forums.
If things work with just SMF, then install TP, test things, and if it works there ( should do ) install the other mods one by one and test everything between your installs.

If it is randomly happening where it works, then doesn't work, then works again. This would be a server issue.

That doesn't mean that your MySQL server couldn't be having problems. Or that your apache configuration couldn't have problems communicating to the sql server. etc. etc. You seeing your static splash page means only one thing, Apache is serving static files just fine. That doesn't mean the whole system is good to go.
