I am unable to Edit the HTML+BBC Blocks. I upgraded from .98..version on TP to the new one. I uninstalled the Older TP first & then installed the new one ( i have to say . Soo nicely done Guys Two Thumbs way up-Thanks). I go to edit my existing blocks or create new ones it doesn't let me do it. i set member groups & visible options(such as where i want it to appear) but it doesn't give me the Body field so that i enter in the code. Whats wrong with it.? Any Help would be appriciated :)
I tried to look - but couldnt find anything on this matter.
A bug that will be fixed in the beta 2 release.
I don't recall this being a bug G6. Not being able to edit any blocks? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't recall seeing anyone having a problem with that after the update.
Maybe you should through the manual install and make sure everything is in place jay. Upload all the TP files, verify all the TP edits are done to the SMF files, and run the manual_tp_install.php file.
HTML body not showing up after saving has been reported several times, even the last beta has it ( Mavns posts ) ;)
Didn't think it was an issue with creating new ones. I don't have that problem on my setup. Even with the beta 2.
Not all have the issue, but some servers has :-\
Ahh i see. Hopefully that Bug gets out soon :).Thanks for the help Guys!. Ice I will try the Manual Edits & update see if i can get it to go.
I know we are in Beta still - But i love this edition
Thanks for the hard work folks
I got this bug on a fresh install on the alpha pre-release of beta. G6 is correct I believe...
Strange... Don't have the issue myself. Wonder what the heck the difference is on servers to do that...
True - server is a server right :) -- but if this helps guys ! I even Uninstalled my SMF ! - & did a Fresh Install - Then installed the v 1.0.5 beta - still the same issue ! . so i uninstalled it - went back to 9.8 & everything is back to Normal :) so i created more blocks and saved them then installed v1.0.5beta - it picks up the Blocks shows lets me do everything ( move to right left center , up down , on off ) but edit. - what i did is backed up all the .phps when it was working - so i will do some compare them when i get a chance. [ this really tests me limited skills in php] :tickedoff:

Right.. Only, theres about a bazillion different configurations that a server could have, from ports to software.. Unix to Windows Server.. Hardware and PHP version.
arg i guess :) no luck here i ve resorted all sources ..
Ok guys ! finally it is working- now i am able to edit Blocks . all i did is Uninstalled TP & installed the Beta again * Note: it did give me Failed msg in index.template.php when i tried to install it via package manager. But i just went with it it didn't work. so i went at it again & Gazzzzzoom its all well and working.
Many Thanks for the help Guys .. & ice . .
Good stuff
I won't mark this solved as it's still listed as a bug as far as I know.
Hurrrrray ! hey ZTN good thing you didn't mark this Solved . I don't know what happened to my Perfect install i am unable to edit Blocks again :) But no worries i will wait for the 2nd Beta.
Thanks for all the help .
Hey Guys just a Heads Up! .. .. .. I by mistake found out that I am able to Edit the Old Blocks in Safari! with no problem the only thing is the View ! where you can hide the code doesn;t work.
The Pop up saying . Whizzywig editor not available for your browser.
Even after the Pop Up the Block can be edited and Saved! with no Issues :)
Hope this helps someone :)
