Title: TPAdvShout & TPShout Modules Bug.
Post by: Alusair on June 22, 2008, 01:08:00 AM
both TPAdvShout and TPShout share a bug.
Users are unable to use any smilies from the [more] popup. If I choose the "more" option, I can see them but clicking on them will not bring them into my reply box - however when I do click on one from the "more" section...it posts it directly to the "shout box"??!

Turning off the shoutbox alleviates the issue.

I don't quite get what you're saying... When I look at the regular shoutbox, there is no "more" option. I see an upshrink that allows other smilies to be seen, but no "more" option. Could you clarify? Right now, those smilies are working fine for me.

Ahh.. you're talking about the reply to topic "more" button. The shoutbox doesn't have that of course. I just try clicking on the more smilies on my site, selected a smilie and it went to the reply textbox just fine. You're saying that your smilies are going to the shoutbox instead?

I would think that its probably something to do with a mod on your site. I don't get this problem on my site. Would you mind posting a link to your site, with a temp account so we can look at it?

Thank you. Well, the weird thing is at first my was working fine. After testing yours out I see that it is indeed happening, but I couldn't see why at first glance. The confusing part is, on my site after adding some more smilies it does the same thing, only mine puts the smiley code into the reply box, and not the shoutbox... I'll leave the javascript up to Bloc and Storm. Not sure why it happens.

so by altering the shoutbox to 590 it will fix the problem? I don't see how that will fix the smiley not appearing in the body when replying to a reply or when creating a thread... I will look into, but just wanna make sure I understood what you're saying
