Title: [bugtracker] textarea parsed improperly
Post by: IchBinâ„¢ on June 05, 2008, 12:05:25 AM
This has been a long standing bug that I don't see in the bug tracker. So I'm just adding it as a reminder.

<textarea> tags do not get parsed properly when saved in Blocks or articles.

Strangely enough I cannot reproduce it on my beta2 site.

Is it unclosed textareas you mean?

Go into manage blocks and edit the php block here labeled "Attention!". Add this code to the block and then click save. Look at the results after the page refreshes.

echo '<textarea>Testing this bug stuff</textarea>';

Solved it, the solution was to use htmlentities on it before showing it in the textarea.
