Hi - I have tried posting this on SMF and no reply at all so im trying here.
I am using the Tolkien design by bloc
Tinyportal v1.0.5 beta 1 c bloc
SMF 1.1.4
this is my site
www.orderofmiddleearth.com
Now once you entered the site... i have a few issues i need help with.
1. How do i change the area where it reads "Write your own HTLM in this area". What file do i edit to get this changed. This does not form part of the block/panels it seems. its OUTSIDE the left panel.
2. The shoutbox is scrolling even though i didnt want it to be...AND i have set it not to be in the module options. Is there anyway to make this more compact? its only displaying 5 shouts.. but taking up half the screen!
3. If you goto this site www.bladesofanarion.net you can see they have a calender on the top right.. how do i get this on the tolkien theme.
Kind regards for your help
For the "write your own HTML" do this:
Set your forum to the Tolkien theme and go:
Admin>Current Theme> ... about half way down the page you will see the HTML text box.
For the calendar; look in the Block Code Snippets board, there are some calendar blocks posted there.
Shoutbox; did you try it in a side block?
im working through this step by step. Ok i found the area where it says Write your own HTML in this area. Could i potentially add a expandable drop down list in this section?
my guild is on 5 servers. i want a list as follows
+arkenstone
+brandywine
+landroval
+elendilmir
+Vilya
and when i click on a server name it expands
+Arkenstone
- Brandywine
-Leader: Tawar
-Member: Homer
-Member: Homer2
+Landroval
+Elendilmir
+Vilya
could i do this.. in this area?
There are some dropdown lists animations posted in the Code Snippets boards that might do what you want.
You can also try the Dynamic Drive (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/) site because thats where a lot of those codes and scripts come from.
The main thing to be careful of is that if your entry into the HTML box is to big it might break out, but it doesn't hurt to try. Make sure you keep good backups in case you break something. ;)
where are the code snippets boards? cant find anything called that
