Since updating the site to TP 1.0.5, themes that support Custom Pages and Links do not work when in Forum.
From the Home Page they work as they should. For example:
Navigate to:
http://labradio.co.uk/index.php
Then follow the Custom Links from the Home Page to:
http://labradio.co.uk/index.php?page=gallery
Now do the same from the Forum:
http://labradio.co.uk/index.php/action,forum.html
Then follow the Custom Links from the Forum, which now leads to:
http://labradio.co.uk/index.php/action,forum.html?page=gallery
The URL's look to me like they have been altered with TP 1.0.5
ZTN, do you have search friendly url or som SEO mod installed ?
The url looks like somthing generated by eather one of these 2 ???
If you look at www.dennismj.familjegodis.se and click the lonks where it say "dennis lok" you see they generate as they should ???
I was thinking after I submitted this.. I made changes to our .htaccess file, some things wouldn't work when prettying the URL's. I thought I had removed them all again as SMF doesn't like it.
I'll have a check when I get home tonight.
We have no SEO mod, the .htaccess has no reason to change URLs and I can't figure it out.
Weird
It would seem the path is somethng like index.php?action=forum?page=gallery - if you translate the friendly url link. That makes no sense at all. The custom pages aren't really made to work with friendly urls but still, it should be better.
Probably need to look at all themes with this.
I'm using no friendly URLs. The changes I had made to the .htaccess have been removed. It's almost like there's another .htaccess file hiding somewhere with those changes.. I've checked everywhere I can think of.
it's been with commas /index.php/action,forum.html?page=gallery
[edit]
Either it's fixed itself, or I dunno. I've just checked again at work with IE6 and the links work as they should.
I'll check it again when I get home tonight. It's been doing this for a while now. *scratches head*
???
Perhaps its been a setting that was changed and changed back. You saw the cache maybe?
I'm not sure what happened to fix this, a ghost in the machine perhaps.
But it's seems fine now.. Marked as solved and closed.
