I have a couple of small issues:
- I set a upper block to only show on the Front Page and Forum, but it's show on all pages. I even deleted and recreated this upper block, but it still shows everywhere
- My Recent Topics block on the right does not appear to guests even through it is set for all groups too see on all boards and forum pages. When I log in, then I see the Recent Topics block. I also deleted and recreated this box with no luck. I'm sure I missed something when I was manually updating to 1.0.5 from 0.9.8
I reported similar in the Bugtracker, top of site.

Thank you ZTN, I missed that :)
Hi,
I am still having this annoying issue with my Recent Topics in a right block. Logged in as myself I see 15 Recent Topics.
However, when I log in as a regular member or even as a guest I only see onetopic. I checked the permission and most of the recent topics should at least be seen by regular members.
I also checked the settings for the Recent Topic block and everything looks fine. The block is accessible to all member groups including guest and it is visible in all pages and sections.
I do however notice that the 'Add custom block title for any installed language - except for default.' section is blank. There should be an empty field there as far as I know.
Tell me what you see here - http://www.avalanchestyle.com/forum/index.php in the 'Recent Topics' right box.
I see one topic. What about the board permissions for the groups that you want to see the recent Topics? If this is a recent topics block that is built into TP, then you have something wrong with your permissions, as it uses the SSI function to call that information. Which is not controlled by TP, but SMF.

I checked the board permissions as well. That's why I say I could see 15. A regular user or guest will probably see less, but not just one consistently. I checked the 15 topics that I could see board by board and know that regular users or guest should see more.
I'm using the Recent Topics function built into TP. So should I look at my SSI file then?
Nope, you should continue to look at permissions. I'm pretty sure thats it. As the SSI function limits by boards the user can see. It doesn't set anything itself.

I solved my issue by using this snippet - Currently Active Topics (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,15952.0.html). I checked and checked my permissions and couldn't find the problem.
On my test site it was working properly, however, right when I introduced a new php right block, then it experienced the same problem as my production site. Removing the new php right block didn't not restore the ability to see the last 15 posts as a guest or other grouped member.
